A Commercial Manager within the telecommunications industry is a professional responsible for contract management of projects, recognizing business opportunities and putting together bids to win new business as well as negotiating and agreeing contracts which can be worth millions.

The Commercial Managers also continuously work to strategically expand, preserve or improve procedures, standards or policies whilst sticking to regulatory guidelines.

Typical duties and activities
1. Bidding, negotiating and agreeing to contracts with the help of relevant departments
2. Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts
3. Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally
4. Manage the risks of sales contract and transaction risks and assist the office in improving the transaction quality.
5. Organize contract reviews and contract changes, manage the functional reviews of the office and support contract decision making.
6. Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
7. Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing customers;

- Strong interpersonal communication capability and resources gathering, as well as mastering negotiation techniques.
- Strong commercial awareness
- Superb negotiation capabilities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationship.
- Master sales ordering process and commercial management knowledge, transaction quality enhancement, payment collection, financing, organizational operations, bidding, etc.
- Familiar with telecom market in Chile, including current pattern of main operators and suppliers, key positioning of each stakeholder, and overall trends and strategies for each of them.
- Skills to understand business model of FTTX, NFV and DC.
